My name is Abby and I am the founder and trainer at The Sane Canine. I have been training dogs professionally since 2017, but really, my love for animals and training began when I could walk. My well rounded background in both pet and working dogs allows me to bring a holistic approach to dog training.
Education & Experience
From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals: in 2019 I graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Animal Behavior and Fine Art 
For three years I trained disaster search and rescue dogs full time. Through this work I not only developed skills in training working detection dogs, but got to work with thousands of dogs of different breeds, temperaments, and behavioral concerns. 
I know first hand that bringing home a new dog can be challenging because I fostered over a dozen dogs: from retired military contract dogs, to senior shelter dogs, to puppies. Let me help you to get your new dog settled into your life!
